BPSOS-Houston Changes Lives

At BPSOS-Houston, we regularly refer to ourselves as a one-stop shop for social services. Whether a client comes in for a health service or legal service, we always see how else we can help. Client referrals to different departments are a regular occurrence at BPSOS.

We help thousands of our community from all walks of life: different races, genders, social situations, both English speakers & non-English speakers. We do our best to not turn any single person away. Often if we cannot help, we know someone who can. Our clients come to us for assistance, we do what we can to help change their lives.

Our clients range from the youngest children whose parents bring them in for flu shots or health checkups to our oldest golden seniors who practice karaoke every Friday (now Zoom karaoke!). Our domestic violence department helps refugees and asylees fleeing difficult situations, linking them with vital organizations that can provide shelter and safety. Our citizenship department helps many achieve the phenomenal milestone of American citizenship and educates thousands of students in English & American civics. Our legal team navigates the convoluted legal system on behalf of our clients who often don't even speak enough English to advocate in the courts for themselves.

So we don't exaggerate when we say that BPSOS-Houston has changed lives. We're told by our clients how important our work is, and we take the opportunity and responsibility seriously and to our hearts.

When you donate, you make it possible for us to continue providing these services. Your donation may pay for us to distribute important literature about breast cancer prevention, or ensure that we can deliver care packages to our vulnerable elders so they can safely shelter-in-place. Maybe you'll pay for an Uber ride for a spouse leaving a dangerous housing situation. Your help makes sure we can continue to help others. Your help changes lives.

Thank you, from our hearts & our clients' hearts, to yours.
